Cider Roasted Chicken is excellent. Peach Crumble and monstrous Carrot Cake All the menu items we sampled were very tasty. Not over-salted like many kitchens these days. The carrot cake is so big, it could serve 4 people easily.
Loved the whole experience here! We were greeted warmly by the host and seated promptly by a window. The room is really cute and they had country music playing which is not my thing, but it wasn't too loud. Our server Brogan was super friendly, made excellent suggestions and was very attentive. I started with the Añejo Old Fashioned which was fantastic- nice smoky flavor to the tequila. For dinner I had the Wagon Wedge salad with a 3oz steak. The salad was fantastic- everything was cold and crisp and the blue cheese was excellent. My boyfriend had fish and chips with mashed potatoes instead of fries. The breading on the fish was really crispy with a great flavor and the fish was great. We ended with the cheesecake egg roll which was amazing and not too sweet. This will be the first place I go when I'm back in Denver.
Great food and service with a fun vibe. We are up on the balcony with a reservation on a Sat night. Had bar high top seating. Great attentive service and good food with large portions great for sharing!
Yelp brought me here with these reviews, and once I arrived I was a little worried this was one of the run of the mill "upscale bars" you find in any downtown area, but I was so pleasantly surprised. Firstly, the staff here is amazing. Some of the most naturally friendly people who were very attentive without being overbearing. Next, the food is fabulous. The prices on the menu are higher than standard bar fare, but the quality is incredible. My wings were some of the best I have had. They were clearly freshly made and tossed, and I was not upsold on some frozen wings I can find anywhere The burger, while simple, was cooked exactly as I wanted and everything on the burger was fresh. This is a great place for a nice bite to eat in Denver.
Went in for lunch while on vacation. Had an awesome strawberry margarita. And a spinach and steak salad that was phenomenal. Management made sure to check on me twice great experience.
We hosted a company event at west saloon and kitchen - Brogan, Shawn, Natalie, Kayla, Julia, TP and Tyler were outstanding as was the food, drinks, and atmosphere! Cheers!
First off the ambience of the place is great with all of the wood interior. We stopped in for lunch and with the expansive menu we had a hard time picking. I settled on fish and chips but swapped out the chips for Brussel sprouts. I asked to have them just flash fried and leave off the batter. My husband ordered salmon and a Guiness. Lunch arrived and the fish looked fantastic. When I took my fork and tried to puncher a piece of Brussel sprouts it was uncooked and instead of my fork going into the sprout, the fork pushed the Brussel sprout into my lap. Luckily I had soda water for my drink and immediately started dabbing the oil off my blouse. It wasn't long before the manager came over and offered to help. He swiftly took the plate away...even though there was nothing wrong with my fish...and while I waited the manager quickly brought me a green salad without even asking. In the meantime, my husband ordered another Guiness from our server. A few minutes later my new plate of food arrived. The Brussels sprouts were cooked as requested and I began to dive in. The manager saw that my husband's beer was empty and asked him if he needed one and my husband mentioned that he was waiting for the beer he ordered from the server. Unfortunately, that beer never came. I am giving this restaurant 4 stars for the food and the way that the manager handled the mix up. We would definitely give it another try!
Stopped here for brunch and it was just the pick me up we need! Our server was very nice and attentive. They had the windows open and it was should great weather when we went that it was refreshing! I ordered the wedge salad and it was so pretty! The presentation was just beautiful!
You won't be surprised to know that we found West Saloon and Kitchen on Yelp, right?!? There is power in unbiased reviews, yo! Anyway, yes, West Saloon & Kitchen absolutely lived up to its reviews. We had a party of 7 and were sat immediately. Nice! Our waitress was attentive but not too much. She answered all of our questions, and split our checks with ease. She was awesome. We had an assortment of dishes and cocktails and no one expressed disappointment. In fact, no one left food on their plates either. Our crowd favorite was the Cast Iron Chicken Pot Pie. Several friends thought this was flavorful and hearty for a cold, snowy day. Another friend loved the Rodeo burger. I chose the Chicken Fajita Salad. Its was delicious. I haven't had Napa cabbage as a foundation, but man, it was tasty and offered a nice texture. It was tossed with roasted corn, fajita veggies and dill ranch. All topped with cotija cheese, crispy wonton strips, guajillo crema, chimmichurri vinaigrette, Mountain Man Micro Farms cilantro, and all-natural grilled chicken. Can I tell you how much I appreciate locally sourced ingredients? Yum. I will be back! Oh, and their Paloma was fantastic - not too limey. Perfection.
